That's me and my family. My wife (of 28 years) Kim is on the far right, I'm on the left. In between are our three daughters and our son. Behind us you can see the snow capped Teton Range, pretty much my favorite place on the planet. I grew up in Burbank California and met my Kansas wife at TCU in Ft. Worth TX. (Go Frogs!)
When we are not going to theatre, musical or scouting events with our kids, we are cooking (Kim) or cleaning up (Greg) home grown and organic meals.
During these hot days you can find me drinking Almond Soda's at Ad Astra Books and Coffee in downtown Salina, or at Starbucks with a Passion Tea Lemonade, half sweet.
I have raised my children on Star Trek (all incarnations), Star Wars and the action packed Super Hero movies. Got to see X-Men: Days of Future Past with daughter Zoe and we loved it.
Kim and I laugh out loud at The Big Bang Theory. I see myself more as Leonard, but my kids say I have Sheldon tendencies.
If you are in the Salina area, I hope that you will stop by Sunday at 10am. We are a group of people learning how to love God and others. Sometimes we are really good at it, other times.....The bottom line is that we're on a journey and there is a lot of forgiveness along the way.
I'm a graduate of Southwestern College in Winfield, KS with a Bachelor of Arts in Music with emphasis in voice, percussion, and worship arts. I spent many hours in the Worship Outreach studio gaining experience in digital comosition, music production, and audio engineering.
I found a knack for worship arts in college while studying and playing with the Worship Outreach bands. I learned different styles and attitudes of worship and hope to bring that experience into this congregation by expanding our definition of worship to something more than the events that happen on Sunday mornings.
I'm a person who likes to learn. Theology and music are the things I like to learn about often. I find that lisening to conversations either in persong or through podcasts is the best way for me to learn. You can find me roaming around the church with my headphones on, but don't be afraid to stop me to say hi.
Worship begins at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday.
Most people dress casual and comfortable, but formal wear is welcome!
We begin worship with Music and singing led by our Band.
We strive for inspiring and practical messages each Sunday.
We celebrate the "Lord's Supper" or "Communion" each Sunday to remember God's love for us. A bit of bread and juice reminds us of Jesus' death and resurrection.
CHILRDREN ARE WELCOME in the service, but we also host a Nursery for babies and toddlers, as well as a Children's Church for Pre-School children.
Sunday School for Adults begins at 9:00 a.m.
